William Heinbuch

William Henry Heinbuch 81, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2023. He was born August 25, 1941 in Columbus, OH to the late Fred and Violet Heinbuch. He attended Akron South High School through his junior year, then graduated from Norton High School in 1959. After high school he worked for the Akron Beacon Journal as a paper handler but was quickly promoted to journeyman pressman and worked there until his retirement. He loved playing basketball and baseball and enjoyed watching these and other sports. He started a side business, Crytal Images, to photograph weddings, school pictures, graduations, etc. His creativity was expressed in his photography, graphic arts and in later years quilting. He submitted and received several awards for his quilts. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite.

Survived by his wife Shirley, daughters Margaret Bell (Steve Orasko), Gerri Heinbuch, and children by marriage Chuck Fertick (Molly), Cathy Pittinger (Jerry); grandchildren Ryan Bell, Aaron Bell (Mandy), Hannah Bell (Colby Staubs), Jessica Miller (Seth), Naomi and Omarr Al-Naboulsee, Chad Fertick (Lainie), Ben Fertick (Regina), Sean Fertick (Maria), Anthony Pittinger and 14 great grandchildren.

Cremation and burial have taken place. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Valley of Akron Scottish Rite, c/o George Tilden, P.O. Box 468, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44222. A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date.
