Theodore Leonard

Theodore H. Leonard, age 82, of Cleveland, Ohio, went home to his Lord and Savior on December 31, 2025. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 2, 1943 to the late Theodore and Catherine Marie Leonard (nee Healy).
Theodore was the beloved husband of Sharon Elaine (nee Jackson); brother of the late George Leonard; cherished father of Catherine Alberty of Louisa, KY, Mary Hybel (Ron) of North Royalton, OH, Sharon Jones of Broadview Heights, OH, Victoria Leonard (Art MacMillan) of Naples, FL, and Theodore A. Leonard (Beth) of North Lewisburg, OH; loving Grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 5.
While the birth date and death date are important, the real story is in the dash between them. This dash represents the life between the birth and death and Theodore's life was full of helping the community be safe and helping those who needed it in their time of crisis. He attended Holy Name High School and was spiritually saved. At a dance at the YMCA in 1963, he met and danced with a young lady that he later told his parents was going to be his future wife. While his parents originally laughed, 2 years later, in 1965, he did exactly that and he and his lovely bride, Sharon E. Jackson, married and were together for the next 60 years until his passing. They would later welcome 5 children together. Theodore worked at Kilroy Steel in Cleveland. He and wife Sharon were volunteer auxiliary police officers, along with his friend, the late Roy Matzinger, who was the original base commander of the B3 auxiliary police before Ted accepted the role from Roy.
When he moved the family to Hartstown, Pennsylvania, he became a firefighter and an E.M.T. as well as the FEMA coordinator for Crawford County and was also head of security for Conneaut Lake Park. Ted was an active member of Ham radio with a couple handles like KA8UBY, N8GNW, and his last one W8LKO. Memorial services will be private.
