Susan Darlene Sansom

Susan D. Sansom , age 68, passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of the Akron area and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Susan dedicated 22 years of service to W.J. Rusco, where she was a valued and hardworking employee. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her family meant everything to her, and she took great pride in caring for and supporting those she loved.

Susan had a deep love for animals, especially horses and dogs. In her quieter moments, she found joy in writing poetry, drawing, and tending to her garden-activities that reflected her gentle spirit and creative soul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Virginia Hosey; her son, Adam Hosey; her daughter, Jackie jacks; her brother, Dale Hosey; her sisters, Cheryl Sutherland, Sandra Fleming and Deborah Cheatum; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Marion Jr.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Dennis "Deno" Sansom; her son, Austin Sansom (Brandi); her cherished grandchildren, Dominic, Braylen, and Gavin Hosey, and Paityn Sansom; her sisters, Linda Diane Marion and Judy (Bruce) Cooper; Marsha Hosey and Nicole Janes; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Services and a celebration of Susan's life will be held at a later date
