Raymond Eugene Burch

Raymond Eugene Burch, of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on September 3, 2026. He was born on October 21, 1958, and raised in Akron, Ohio. Raymond was known as "Lil Ray" or "Ray" by his family and friends.
Ray was a hardworking man and a truck driver who always made time for his family. He loved working with his hands, especially working on cars and fixing things. He was the kind of person people could count on when they needed help, and he never hesitated to lend a hand.
Ray was stubborn, blunt, and never afraid to say what was on his mind. But beneath that was a man who loved his family and friends deeply. He was loyal and generous, and he would do just about anything for the people he cared about.
Some of Ray's happiest memories were made with his family. He loved camping, fishing, cookouts, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved cooking for everyone and being behind the grill while family and friends gathered together. Those simple moments meant a lot to him.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sherry Burch; his daughters, Joyce Burch and Jeri Burch; his grandchildren, Makaylee Jones, Kyle James, Brandon James, Jason Miller, and Savanna James; his mother, Joyce Lee; his sisters, Tracey Bolyard, Tammy Bolyard, Tammy Zickefoose, Terry Burch, Donna Burch, and Judy Wallace; and his brothers, Robert Burch and Donald Burch. He is also survived by his extended family and many friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Burch; his father, Raymond Burch; his brother, Adam Hamrick; and his sister, Tina Sailpot.
Ray lived his life his own way, loved his family dearly, and made memories that will stay with them forever. His laughter, stories, stubbornness, and willingness to help others will never be forgotten.
Ray will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
