Michael Richard Fischmann

Michael Richard Fischmann, 61, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away on April 20, 2026, at SUMMA Health System-Akron following a brief illness. He was born on July 29, 1964, to the late Jacqueline and Richard Fischmann.

Michael was a graduate of Buchtel High School, Class of 1982. He spent many years working for America's Best Home Medical, delivering medical supplies. He will be remembered by those who knew him for his dry sense of humor and his love of classic movies.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his beloved Aunt, Judith Blower, as well as his older brother, Richard Fischmann.

He is survived by his sister, Janis (William George) of Mansfield; his nieces, Brigid and Claire Fischmann, Lindsey Wolf, and Lauren Shaw; and many extended family members.

In keeping with Michael's wishes, there will be no services. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Summa Health System-Akron for their care and compassion.
