Michael Lee Dolinar

Michael Lee Dolinar, known as "Mic" by family and friends, passed away on July 9, 2026, at age 73. He will not be forgotten. With strong family roots in West Virginia, Mic was born and lived in Akron, Ohio, near his parents and grandparents. One of four siblings, he grew up in Firestone Park and graduated from Garfield High School. He was a skilled mechanic and was a proud veteran of the US Army where he served as an MP in Europe; he worked for the US Postal Service, loved country music, and driving muscle cars.

Mic was preceded in death by his parents Frank Dolinar Sr. and Geneva Nieratko Dolinar (Jennie); plus his Uncle Vince Dolinar. Mic is survived by three siblings: Frank Jr., Theresa, and Tracey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mic never married.

Mic will be laid to rest with military honors in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio. Those who knew Mic know that he hated being fussed over, therefore, there will be no funeral services. Donations in Mic's memory can be made to the ADA /American Diabetes Association.
