Melvin Thomas Mundy

Melvin Mundy, 97, of Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 3, 1929, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to the late Melvin and Bertha Mundy.

Melvin graduated from Bethlehem High School in Pennsylvania and went on to work as an accountant at Bethlehem Steel, where he met the love of his life, Penni. Together, they shared 67 years of marriage and built a life centered around family and love.

In 2008, Melvin and Penni moved to Green to be closer to their family, especially their granddaughters, Jessica and Morgan, who were the light of his world. He gave them unwavering love, support, and acceptance throughout their lives and cherished every opportunity to spend time with them.

Melvin proudly served in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be remembered for his love of family and the lasting impact he had on those around him.

Melvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Penni Mundy. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Becky; his two cherished granddaughters, Jessica and Morgan; and his special niece and her husband, Michelle and Jack Lloyd.

A celebration of Melvin's life will be held at a later date.
