Mary Ella Walters, 71, of Akron, Ohio, peacefully departed this life on May 25, 2025. Born on April 30, 1954, in Akron, Mary was a proud graduate of East High School and a dedicated public servant who worked for the Summit County Clerk of Courts for over 30 years.
Mary was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and unmatched sense of humor. She had a way of lighting up every room she entered, offering love, laughter, and kindness to all who knew her. Whether it was through her caring nature or her quick wit, she touched countless lives in a way that will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother Rosa Davis, father Emmit Hogan, stepfather Berwin Davis Sr., and her cherished siblings Rebecca Mitchell, Lynette Davis, Catherine Walters, nephew Jonathan Franklin, and niece, Leslie Lewis.
Mary's legacy lives on through her beloved sons David and Antonio; grandchildren David Jr. Donvan, and Naomi; her sisters Cynthia and Vernell; brothers Emmit, Fred, Berwin Jr., and Jerry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Our hearts are broken by her passing, but we will forever cherish her memory. Her loving spirit and infectious joy will remain with us always. She was loving. She was caring. She was giving. And she will be deeply missed.
