Mary R. Hodgen (née Nemeth), 93, born May 22, 1930, to Vera Vegh Nemeth and John K. Nemeth in Akron, Ohio where she has been a lifelong resident. She ended her earthly journey peacefully, Saturday morning, June 17, 2023, at the Arbors of Fairlawn where she had been a long-term care resident for several years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and John Nemeth, husband of 64 years, Frank E. Hodgen on 10/05/2012. Mary Rose Nemeth graduated from Akron South High School with the Class of 1947. She worked at People's Drug, after school, when introduced to Frank Hodgen (Firestone Rubber - Local 7) through a mutual acquaintance. After a year-long plus courtship they married in June 1948. Over their retirement years, Frank and Mary were very active volunteers for Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Hospital, Akron Civic Theatre, Goodyear Theatre and the American Red Cross Blood drives.

Mary has left behind, to cherish our memories, her son, Thomas (Dawn) Hodgen of Cheyenne, Wyoming and daughter, Linda Hodgen (Joyce Elliott) of Fairlawn; sisters: Elizabeth Moore of Akron and Vera (D.
