Mark McElhaney

Mark David McElhaney, age 55, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 21, 2023.

He was born in Wadsworth to Louis Walter McElhaney Jr. & Linda Painter McElhaney on June 24th, 1967.

Mark is preceded in death by a brother, Larry McElhaney and father-in-law Harold Marquess.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Pam McElhaney, three sons; Daniel McElhaney, Hayden McElhaney and Nathan McElhaney. Two brothers; Louis McElhaney III (wife Renee McElhaney) and Michael McElhaney (wife Sherrie McElhaney). One sister; Rachel Reichenbach. Mother-in-law Regina Marquess. Three sister-in-laws Dianna Andrews (husband Stan), Kim Scavuzzo (husband Paul) and Karen Conrad (husband Mike). Six nieces; six nephews and two great nephews.

Mark spent over 20 years as a Registered Nurse caring for patients in the Cardiac Unit, where he was recognized as a dedicated front-line nurse who demonstrated excellence in the nursing field.

In his free time Mark loved playing his guitar, bike riding, hunting, fishing, playing disc golf, photography and spending time with his family. He was truly a compassionate person, always being the first to help.

Mark had a personality that you couldn't help but love and strive to be like. Having a smile and laugh that was contagious. He was a dedicated husband to his wife and father to his 3 sons, who adored him dearly.

He was a cherished son, brother, husband, uncle, father and friend. He will be missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 at 3820 Reimer Road, Norton, OH from 3:00pm until 7:00pm.
