Kay W. Germitch

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kay W. Germitch, who was lovingly called home on September 1, 2026, at the age of 88. Kay was a beacon of light and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering love for life, family, and her faith in the Lord left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

Born and raised with love, Kay had a gift for making everyone feel special. Her embrace was a source of comfort, and her smile lit up every room she entered. She possessed an unparalleled joy for meeting new people and effortlessly turned strangers into friends. Kay's love for her family was boundless, and she cherished each moment spent with them.

Kay was preceded in death by her first love, Earl Ritchey; her beloved son, Micheal Ritchey; her brothers, Ken and Rick Kaderly; and her great-grandson, Nicholas Hooker Jr. Though their loss was profound, Kay's spirit remained resilient, and she found solace in the love of her surviving family.

She is survived by her devoted husband and soulmate, Ray Germitch; her cherished daughter, Tina (Ed) Balash; and her adored grandchildren Jen (Chris) Good, Eddie (Jamie) Balash, Joe Balash, Jess (Justin) Greer, Tom (Miranda) Balash, and Sarah (Nicholas) Hooker. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Justin Jr., Dylan, Catherine, Pheobe, Sophia, Kierstyn, Eddie IV, Mylee, Zane, Drew, Sierra, and Miles, who will carry her love and light forward. She is also survived by her dear sister, Judy Sloan, sister-in-law, Cheryl Kaderly, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Kay's devotion extended to her cherished canine companion, Lucy, and her special grand pups, Coco and Feir, who brought her immeasurable joy.

A celebration of Kay's remarkable life will be held on October 3, 2026, at Ridgewood Baptist Church, located at 7891 Ridge Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44281. Service will be held at 11am with a lunch to follow. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor the remarkable woman who touched so many lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kay's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and love for helping others.
