John Anthony Kruman II

John Anthony Kruman II, 53, passed away on August 2, 2026. John proudly served his country as a Combat Camera Broadcast Engineer in the United States Army, where he completed advanced and basic television system maintenance training at the Defense Information School. That foundation launched a career he built with skill and passion over the following decades. He went on to work as an engineer supporting mobile broadcast production clients at New Century Productions, Beck Associates, and National Mobile Television. He later joined Riedel Communications, where he served as Senior Engineer, Regional Sales Engineer, and Government Solutions Manager, designing communication systems and overseeing the training and commissioning of systems for customers, while also leading the company's expansion across the Midwest. In 2013, John joined Clear-Com as Sales Engineer for its Military, Aerospace and Government (MAG) business, where he continued to serve the customers and industry he cared about deeply, drawing on his rare ability to understand both the technology and the demanding needs of his clients. John remained an active and devoted member of the American Legion, honoring his fellow veterans and continuing his lifelong commitment to service long after his time in uniform ended.

Outside of work, John's heart belonged to the things he loved most: Disney, Star Wars, the Military, fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes, and San Antonio Spurs and loved Metal music. Whether he was reliving the magic of a Disney trip, celebrating all things Star Wars, watching his sports teams or losing himself in the sound of a great metal album, John brought the same enthusiasm and joy to his passions that he brought to everything in his life.

John is survived by his beloved son, Nicholas Kruman; Siblings Darlene Kruman, Susan Gorman (Mike), Michael Kruman (LaCosta), and Meghan Garver (Mitch), Mother Judith D. Kruman, and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John Anthony Kruman Sr.

A celebration of life is planned at Elmer Johnson American Legion Post 118 in Amherst, Ohio on Saturday October 10th, 2026 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Military Honors will be held at that time. A private burial will be held at a later date.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
