Jeffrey A. Tanner passed away February 20, 2026, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness. He leaves by behind his daughters Amanda (James) Macheras and Molly Tanner; son Jesse Tanner; brothers David Tanner and Jason (Devon) Yeager; sisters Carla Laney, Nikki Anderson, Crystal Yeager, and Shannon McCreery; two grandchildren; many close nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, good friend Bob Ladany and many more.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Andy and Judy Yeager; grandparents Donald and Ione Laney; sister Kelli Yeager; and good friend Kevin Hayman.
Born on June 7, 1963 in Akron, OH. Jeff's passions included heavy metal music, carpentry, golf, traveling, sports, history, science, good food and tools. He was known for his humor, charming charisma, long blonde hair, work ethic, and empowering rebellious attitude. A master carpenter by trade, he left his mark all over the nation through his work until his retirement in 2020.
To know Jeff was to love him. His life and legacy will be cherished by his loved ones, living on in their hearts forever. Rock hard, ride free, all your life.
Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date, held in honor of his upcoming June birthday.
