Gwendolyn Lawson

Gwendolyn Marie (Tolbert) Lawson of Akron Ohio passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2023 in Akron, Ohio.

Gwen was born in Akron to Emmett and Loris Tolbert on December 10, 1952. She graduated from North High School in 1971. She moved to Chicago Illinois where she worked as a commercial lines underwriter agent for 14 years. Later she attended the College of Southern Nevada and became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked for a number of nursing homes and agencies retiring in 2014.

Gwen is survived by her son Jerjuan Lawson of Las Vegas, Nevada. Granddaughters and Grandson; Makayla, Joslyn, Skylar and Braxton Lawson of Las Vegas Nevada. Brother Gregory Tolbert of Louisville Kentucky. Favorite cousin Rhonda Malone of Phoenix Arizona. Special friends Tereasa Cheathan and Jean Neal of Akron and a host of other friends and relatives.
