Dwight Horace Willochell

Dwight H Willochell, 80 of Akron, OH, passed away peacefully while in the compassionate care of Crossroads Hospice on June 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer.

Dwight was genuine, funny, willing to help anyone and his love for his family and friends was more than anyone could ask for.

Dwight was known for his love of story telling and his sense of humor. His stories will greatly be missed.

Dwight was born on February 6, 1946 in Greensburg, PA to James and Jean (Mino) Willochell.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy (Patterson) Willochell, his seven children Mary (Darin) Williams, Jim (Trisha) Willochell, Dawn (Jay) DeWitt, Angela Willochell, Jean (Keith) Brown, John (Brandie) Willochell, Raymond (Megan) Willochell and many grand children and great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings Donald (Paulette) Willochell, Carmen Willochell, and Gary (Bonnie) Willochell.

Dwight is preceded in death by his parents James and Jean Willochell, granddaughter Jaimie Lee Willochell and sister-in-law Anita Willochell.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on June 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Center On The Lake at 2491 Canfield Rd., Akron, OH 44312 for family and friends.

Dad, you will be held in our hearts forever, and we will miss you more than words can say. We love you so much.
