Douglas Pitman

Douglas Richard Rhein Pitman, 59, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 3:15 am at Akron City Hospital after a battle with metastatic cancer. He was born at St Thomas Hospital in Akron, Ohio on March 13,1963 to the late John C. Pitman and Dorothy Bellingham Pitman.

Doug is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kelly Ann Collier and by three siblings; sister Dorothy Pitman of Sacramento California, brother John J. (Ruth) Pitman of Columbus Ohio, and sister Melinda Pitman of Roseville California, along with nieces and nephews and wonderful friends.

Doug was, until recently, an elder at Northminster Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Cuyahoga Falls Meet up Group. He loved nature and enjoyed hiking with the group. He was also an avid train enthusiast.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 am at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 104 W. Portage Trail Ext, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223. A luncheon following service will be provided by the church for all who attend.
