Donnie Harvey

Donnie Champ Harvey, age 73, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 16, 1950, in Streeter, West Virginia, to Champ C. Harvey and Edna Ella Meadows.

Donnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a man of great faith and served as a Primitive Baptist preacher. Donnie was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Army. After his service, he settled in Akron, Ohio, and worked at the Firestone Tire Plant.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Champ C. Harvey and Edna Ella Meadows; his brother, David, and his sisters, Shirley, and June. He is survived by his wife, Fran; his son, Dougie (Kristy); his stepsons, Steven (Deidra), Andrew and Donnie; his grandchildren, Destiny, Trinity, JD, Madison, Mya, Zoey, Choebe, Phoenix and Addy; his brothers, Paul, Ted and Danny; his sisters, Patty, Judy and Jane; and many nieces and nephews.

Donnie will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious laugh, and his unwavering dedication to his family and his faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
