Debra E. Ruggeiri. 72 of Akron, Ohio passed away at home on January 18th, 2026, from a short aggressive form of cancer. She is survived by her best friend of 40+ years, Lori Glenny (Akron), her stepmother, Charlotte Norman and her brothers Rick (Lisa) Ruggieri, Steven Ruggieri and sister Lisa Wyatt all residing in Tennessee, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Debbie was preceded in death by her Loving Mother, Rita Ruggeiri (nee Harlan), her father, Michael Ruggieri II, brother Michael Ruggieri III, her "shared" Dad, David Glenny and many other aunts, uncles and cousins
Debbie lived in Akron, Ohio her entire life and had been employed in many restaurant/catering positions including, meal prep and line cook, baker, wedding cake maker, caterer and bartender, but loved when she got to incorporate her photography.
She loved her animals of which there are too many to name, but her passions were reading and daily trivia games.
She loved watching murder shows like "snapped" and ALWAYS said that when she died, she didn't want people to sit around and say "stupid" things like "Oh everyone loved her" or "I can't think of a single person who didn't just love everything about her" or even "she was the sweetest person ever"... she wanted truth stated, so I'll leave you with this...
My friend was Sarcastic, stubborn, brash and spoke straight-forward truth, but she was also funny, caring, compassionate and loving to those who truly knew her, so however you saw her or felt about her, remember her in your own way. For me, she will be loved and missed forever.
No more pain. Rest easy my friend.
There will be a simple celebration of life get together on Sunday February 8th from 12-4PM at the Galt Park Lodge located at 2000 Oneida Ave in Cuyahoga Falls, Oh 44221.
