David Thompson

Marine Corp Veteran, David Thompson, AKA Frank, age 71, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022, with his family at his side. He was born in Akron, OH to Goff and Judy Thompson.

Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by sister Gayle Callesen and stepfather Robert Taggart.

Frank is survived by daughters Allison Distel (James) and Vanessa Thompson (Matt Keckler), granddaughter Hannah Thompson, and twin sister Fran Miller, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank graduated from Kenmore High school in 1969. Frank was a boxer and a referee; he had a lot of passion for the sport. He was an avid fisherman, lover of dogs and music, and will be missed by many.

On Saturday October 22, 2022, from 1-5 a Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion, 2974 Cormany Road, Akron, 44319. The family would like loved ones to gather in remembrance of this great man, enjoy some good food, and share some memories of Frank.
