Our beloved "Sweetie" Darlene Ulery, age 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 31, 2025. She was an amazing daughter, sister, Aunt and friend. Loved by all and called Sweetie for a good reason. She was a sweetie! She has been residing at Bath Manor in Fairlawn, Ohio. Where she had wonderful caregivers and enjoyed making many new friends with the residents as they played games and did crafts together each day.
She was born September 1, 1947 to Dorothy and Ralph Ulery. Growing up in Toledo, Ohio but able to experience life throughout the country. She shared many family traditions from famous staples where she had resided from Tony Packo's and Inky's Pizza in Toledo to Ghiradelli in California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister (Sandra) and brother (Ralph jr.). She is survived by sister Janice and brother in law Michael Wiedemann, niece Kelly (Tim) nephew Scott (Bohnny) great niece and nephews Megan (Dean), David (Annie) and Max, great grand nephew Wesley.
While in California she became a huge fan of the Oakland A's. She loved watching the ball games and collecting A's memorabilia. She spent much of her time making crafts, especially ceramics and scrap booking, creating holiday decorations which will be passed down through the generations, playing games, and reading romance novels. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was a beacon of light like the Thomas Kincaid pictures she loved. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future. The family will bring her back to Toledo, where she will be laid to rest in a family service at Ottawa Hills Cemetery.
