Clifton Blackwell

Clifton Hughs Blackwell Jr, 66, of New Philadelphia Ohio, passed peacefully surrounded by family on December 25th, 2025. Born in Dover Ohio on February 20th, 1959, he graduated from New Philadelphia high school in 1978. He worked on oil rigs and bridges throughout most of his adult life and enjoyed fishing and working on vehicles.
He is survived by his son, Kyle of New Philadelphia, two siblings, his twin Clint (Cathy) of Somerdale, his sister Linda of Midvale, his grandson Kadyn, and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He is preceded by his parents, Clifton Sr. and Jewel Blackwell, two sisters, Pauline and Ginger, and a son Clifton Joseph, who passed at birth.
He will be cremated and there will be a grave side service in Tusky at a later date. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.
