Ms. Carol Ann Elizabeth Pifer, age 67, passed away on February 27, 2023. She was born in Akron, Ohio to William and Halle Williams.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by brother Thomas Williams and grand-daughter Alexis Edwards.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Tina (Joe Storad) Norris and Jennifer White; grandchildren, Colby Edwards (Cheyenne Golden), Macie and Callie Norris; brothers Terry (Linda) Carden and Gary (Christine) Carden; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.
Carol lived the happiest years of her life in Lakemore where she raised her two daughters. She never met a stranger and continuously hosted guests in her home. She loved to cook, swim, the Cleveland Browns and travel to new places. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life and her favorite title in this life was "Nana."
During the 90's, Carol owned Red's Cafe and The Double Eagle establishments in Barberton when she was affectionately known to everyone as "Maw." In addition, she championed organized labor as a union organizer.
Numerous health issues took an awful physical toll on Carol's body. However, her infectionscious smile, laugh and inviting spirit never faltered. She never entered a room and left without a new friend.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Mountain of Hope Faith Church located at 6385 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Clinton, Ohio between 3:00-5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:15 PM, "Quarter-After Carol" would have it no other way.
