Bill Smith, born March 11, 1940, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was a hardworking, kindhearted man who devoted his life to his family and to the people he loved. He was a man who believed in working hard, caring for others, and making the most of the life he had been given.
Bill had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting. He found joy in the simple things in life, but above all, he treasured the people around him. He had a genuine love for people and a way of making those he cared about feel welcomed and valued. His strong work ethic and generous heart were qualities that those who knew him will always remember.
Bill is survived by his children, Steve Smith and his wife, DJ; Teresa Perry and her husband, Jim Perry; and his youngest son, Billy Smith and his wife, Jen Smith. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Smith, and his son, Jimmy Smith.
He was a beloved grandfather to James Perry and his wife, Beth, and their children, Aiden and Madison Perry; and Heather Perry and her fiancé, Remington Doak, and their children, Remi, Theo, and Ezra Doak.
Bill's greatest legacy will not be measured by the work he accomplished or the things he owned, but by the love he gave to his family and the lives he touched throughout his years. His hardworking spirit, love of people, and love for the outdoors will remain a cherished part of his family's memories.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him
