Arlene Roland

Arlene Helen Roland (nee Wozniak), aged 82, of Hudson, Ohio; died on Friday, January 2, 2026 in hospice care at Akron City Hospital. She was born in Chardon, Ohio on December 25, 1943, to Joseph and Helen (nee Twarogowski) Wozniak. She joins her parents and siblings: Raymond, Frank, Alfred, Mary, Nancy, James, and Kathryn; and much loved granddaughter, Amanda, in heaven. "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-30

She is survived by her beloved husband Stuart Roland, her brother Daniel, and her children: Helen Gast, Richard Roland, William Roland, Julie Roland-Weakland, Nancy Crowell, and Stuart Roland II, as well as, her grandchildren: Chase, Layne, Willow, Heather, and Philip; and great-grandchildren: Sophia, Ava, Lucas and Mya. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Mathew 5:4.

The family is planning a private memorial to celebrate her beautiful life and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) to further their mission of providing support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias nationwide.
